On top of that, we also got "Mommy's new car" - our first minivan. It's a light green Toyota Sienna - and it came with a DVD player! We can't wait for the first trip to Grandma and Papa's to test it out. Kylie got to help pick up the new car, and she really didn't want to leave Daddy's car at the dealership. She gave it a kiss, said "Miss you - love you" - and almost made Mommy cry!
Why didn't Neela get to pick up the car, too? Well... there is the next saga! Neela came down with the 3-5 (or 5-10) day stomach flu, starting on Sunday. We picked up the car Monday night - and Neela really likes to throw up in the car right now... We didn't think it was wise to let her ride in the new car yet! Neela is feeling better today, but Kylie started to get it yesterday. She threw up 15+ times -- good think Daddy was home to take care of her!
Last weekend, Mommy & Daddy went to Brian & Nicole's wedding in Chicago. Grandma & Papa G. came to take care of us (and to keep showing the house in case the inspection fell through AND to help Aunt Angie with her new house). They brought Angie a big load of rocks, so we got to ride in Papa's truck - in our carseats. We learned WAY TOO much riding there! We now know green means "go", red means "stop" and yellow means "go fast!". Mommy said that's how Papa taught her to drive, too! We also know stop signs mean "stop", and Neela always wanted to "shift, shift" (sometimes without the "f" in her pronunciation). Grandma had to ride on the floor because our seats took up so much space - and got her foot stuck under the seat. Papa thought it was funny - but she had to take her shoe off to get out.
Papa taught us all about helping move rock to landscape Angie's yard, and we had many picnics on the tree stump he turned into a picnic table. He also took us to Mill's Fleet Farm to buy fishing rods! Neela got Mickey Mouse and Kylie got Dora, and now we've switched! After he bought the poles, we smacked him in the face with them in the truck - the entire way to Lake Como (this is where Grandma learned all about ice skating, etc. growing up). Here are the pictures of us with the worms AND the fish... Neela did NOT like the worms!
