What's Brooke doing?

Brooke does not really enjoy baby food - and it's not helping her sleep when she doesn't eat! We finally food a few things Brooke likes:

Oatmeal Cereal with Banana

Carrots (but they were a lot of work)

Instant Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potato Puffs

Brooke also is in love with her bouncy exersaucer, playing outside in her exersaucer, riding in the stroller, and riding in the wagon.

She has almost mastered sitting up on her own - you have to sit her up with a lot of toys - but she has SOOO much fun when she can! If she doesn't want to sit, she plops down and rolls over or spin to get where she wants :-)

AND - the biggest news - her tooth is FINALLY starting to break through! Maybe a full night's sleep is finally in her future!

Hippity, Hoppity, Easter's on it's Way!

Last Saturday, we went to meet the Easter Bunny with our friend, Mady. We had a blast looking at him, coloring his picture, and getting treats at the stores in the Woodbury Mall.
We can't wait until Easter!!

Two WILD Girls!

The "big" girls got to spend a special day with Mom & Dad at a Wild game!
We wore our jerseys, our Wild ponies, and our new Wild socks from Bonnie & Hambone.
Before we got out of the car, we had to make a pitstop in Starbuck's for a bathroom break. Then, it was down the street to the arena. We got a lot of comments about how cute we looked walking down the street :-)
Once we got inside, we had to get our face painted. Kylie got a Wild logo - and Neela got an America Flag. Then, Neela made sure Kylie got a lot popcorn!! Kylie went to sit with Daddy, and Neela sat with Mommy for the 1st period. After that, the couple next to our season tickets swapped with Daddy and Kylie so we could spend the rest of the game together.
Neela's favorite part is "when it's dark" (during the opening). Kylie just loved the entire thing - even trying to understand the injured player. "Mommy, he's on a bed - then he goes to the hospital". Yep, just like when Daddy drives the ambulance.

Neela - during the 3rd period... Kylie also crashed HARD!

Kylie's Big Day!

For Kylie's big day with Mommy, she went to see the fish - at Underwater Adventures at Mall of America. We walked down the paths and into the underwater tunnel. Kylie saw a lot of fish, turtles, sting rays, sharks... there was even a sting ray sleeping on top of the tunnel!! After we got out of the tunnel, Kylie saw seahorses... jelly fish (the lights changed color - and made them change color)... and Nemo!!
Kylie's favorite part of the day - or one of many - was touching the finish in the pool at the end of the exhibits!
She also got a little bit of ice cream, helped Mommy shop, and LOVED riding in the stroller!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Great-grandma Berger would be so proud!

Neela's Special Day with Daddy

On Sunday, Neela got to have a special date with Daddy! She went to the Wild game - all decked out in her Wild gear from Bonnie & Hambone. She was looking for her Wild pants, socks, turtleneck and underwear to match her Wild jersey and ponies... We didn't have those - but she was electric when she left, and estatic when she got home!

Daddy helped her get her face painted, meet Nordy, find Bonnie & Hambone, eat popcorn, eat ice cream...

Next week, it's Kylie's turn with Mommy!

A Girls' Tea Party

Brooke's in love with her big sisters - she will laugh (and belly laugh) at everything they do! They bring her toys, have tea parties with her, help her get "unstuck"... And of course, Brooke is trying like crazy to sit on her own so she can be big like them! She's also enjoying the spring - and riding in the stroller looking at everything!

The Growth Curve

A moment of craziness inspired the booking of 2 3 year old check-ups, and one 6 month old check-up, at the SAME TIME!
Needless to say, all 3 girls are very healthy and growing - some just a bit faster than others!

Brooke's Stats:
22.9 lbs (99% for Weight)
28 inches (98% for Height)
96% Percentile for Height-to-Weight

Yes - she is wearing 12 month clothes, and yes, she has managed to catch up with her sisters' hand-me-downs already!! She's caught where they were at 1 year in 6 short months!

Kylie's Stats:

32 lbs, 38.5 inches

33.28% Percentile for Height-to-Weight

Neela's Stats:

32.6 lbs, 38.5 inches

39.15% Percentile for Height-to-Weight

At the end of the appointment, Brooke got her shots, and the girls got their second H1N1 dose. This was a bit traumatic. When Daddy went to get his blood drawn, both big girls kept telling Daddy "It will be OK", but when the needle came out, Kylie TOOK OFF down the hall! Thank goodness our nurse was there to catch her!!

How else is Brooke growing? She's now officially too big for the baby carseat! Here's Brooke in her new seat:

Of course, for a great end to the day, Kylie & Neela got to spend their first overnight at Aunt Angie's! They were so thrilled - and couldn't wait to get there! Brooke spent some time at Dominique and Danielle's while Mom & Dad went to a fire appreciation banquet.

Brooke's 6 Months Old

Brooke celebrated her 6 month birthday today! It was a great day - and very full!

We started the day getting ready for pictures... we all took baths, then headed to Rosedale for pictures. We took Brooke's 6 month pictures, Kylie & Neela's 3 year pictures, group pictures and twin pictures.

After that, we headed around the mall... Papa taught us how to "farm" in the flower pots in the mall. Papa and Grandma bought us ice cream since we were so good for our pictures, and then Papa let Brooke try "mint & chip". He taught Neela to sing "In Heaven There is No Beer". He taught Brooke how to bang her spoon on the table at Panera Bread, and gave her a piece of Grandma's bread bowl to try. (Papa was very busy this weekend - working on his long list of "so many things to teach"!)

Brooke's new favorite activity is rolling - over and over and over - across the room. She really wants to sit up, but she can't quite get that figured out yet. If you sit her up, she'll stay for a few seconds before tipping. Of course, toes are still her favorite thing when she's not in clothes!

Brooke's outfit she wore home from the hospital - 6 months ago!

Brooke in her exersaucer - she enjoys it so much! She spins, grabs, and makes everything make noise each time she climbs in!

While Brooke was charming everyone with her smile, Kylie and Neela were feeding Rudy their cereal.

Bowling with Reardon, Dominique & Danielle

On Friday night, we went bowling at Daddy's bowling alley. We asked Dominique, Danielle and Reardon to join us. It was Reardon's first time bowling, and we enjoyed showing him everything we have learned in our previous experiences.

We celebrated EVERY ball! We hugged each other EVERY time! At the end of the night, we told everyone "We were all winners!" "We took turns!"

More hugs...
Kylie got her first strike Friday night, too! We can't wait to go back - and take more friends! Anyone want to join us??
