June 29th was a big day for us! We waved good-bye to our old house on Copper Cliff Trail on our way to daycare, and moved into our new house on Eagle View Place. Mommy had tears in her eyes telling us to wave good-bye, and Daddy had to pull her out of the house to get to the closing on time. When we got to the new house, Mommy and Daddy had our new green beds in our new purple room all ready to go! (And they finally got their king-size bed!)
We've only asked a couple times about the old house - we really like all the room at the new house, and we love our playroom (who needs a formal dining/living room, anyway?). Cy probably has had the hardest time adjusting to the new house - there are a lot more stairs, and no fence. When Mommy & Daddy went back to the old house to get one of the toys he left behind, he wanted to get out and run in the backyard! Mommy carries him around a lot - he still loves to sit on her bed, but now there's room for Cy & Daddy! We are planning to build him an invisible fence soon - so he has room to roam without his tie out chains.
We also need to say thank you to our friends who helped us move - Curt, Bob, Scott, Alyssa, Hambone & Bonnie - it's great to have friends like you!!
Papa, Grandma & Uncle Chuckie came to help unpack boxes, unpack the PODS, mow the lawn, trim trees, figure out the sprinkler system, move boxes, and celebrate the 4th of July! Of course, we wanted to play a lot - Uncle Chuckie swears setting up a crib would go MUCH faster without so much of our "help"; Grandma said the same thing about our closet!
We LOVED the 4th of July fireworks at the Oldham's party this year! To quote... Neela "More Pop!!". Kylie "I like that one", "That's my favorite", "That's pretty", "That's neat", "That's pretty neat". And... every one of them was Kylie's favorite. We sat on the front of the Oldham's deck, overlooking Cottage Grove, and got to see a LOT of fireworks. Now, Mommy & Daddy need to find some place else to take us so we can see them again - soon!
Reardon came to visit us - and to see our new house and "Daddy's Park" during the week. We decided to explore the woods behind the house - although Mommy and Reardon's Mommy didn't let us get in too far, before we got bored and climbed in the wading pool! All 3 of us were wearing swim diapers (and nothing else), and throwing water on each other -- and our Moms got to watch!
The next weekend was filled with more fun! On Friday, Aunt Angie babysat us - Mommy took us to Angie's house. We helped Angie pick raspberries and strawberries, and Angie got to drive the minivan back to our house! We got to show off our new house - and we got to eat LOTS of raspberries! Neela helped Angie pick the raspberries, but Kylie said "I pick from the bowl"! (Smart girl!!)

On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy worked on more boxes - then we got to go to a party at Reardon's house! We played on every playset in the neighborhood (or so it seemed!). They had popsicles for us, and we got to meet Dominique and Danielle! They played with us so much that Mommy and Daddy both had a chance to visit with the other grown-ups... it was fun for all of us!
Sunday morning, Daddy left for Phoenix at 5:30 AM. Mommy told us he went on an airplane - and we had lots of fun acting like airplanes. That afternoon, Mommy took us to Alyssa's house on Lake Minnetonka. We went swimming in the lake, and so did Cy! Cy liked it more than we did!! Then, we got to go on a boat ride. Alyssa's brother, Ty, drove the boat - and Kylie was very worried the boat would tip over. After a lot of reassurance from Mom, we learned it really was just like riding in a rocking chair (rockabye baby!). Alyssa showed Neela the "big blue balloons" (water towers) around the lake, and Kylie loved the "tunnel" (a small channel covered with trees). We waved at all the other boats, and saw a lot of dogs on boats... Cy loved the boat ride, too! We grilled supper on the deck before we headed home!
Tne next few days, we kept Mommy running while Daddy was gone. We did finally sleep through the night in the new house - and Mommy was very happy!
On Friday night, we had date night with Daddy! He took us to the American Burger Emporium for FRENCH FRIES, POPCORN & CHEESEBURGERS! We did very well - so then we got to go the "old" fire station. We drove by the old house, and Kylie told us all "We don't live here anymore, silly goose!". At the station, Daddy let us use the microphone on the truck - so we sang the Steelers Super Bowl song for anyone who listened!
On Saturday, Grandma and Papa G. came to visit. We are getting good at giving tours of the house... our "purple room", "green beds" and "I show you"! Dominique and Daneille came to babysit before Grandma and Papa got here - Mommy and Daddy had a golf party to go to. On Sunday, everyone unpacked more boxes and hung pictures while Papa took care of us. In the morning, he took us to "Donald's", and bought us breakfast in his truck! We love to ride in Papa's truck!
This week... has been busy, but we're getting more settled in the new house. We have had a lot of rain storms, and today we got to go to the "far, far away park" for a puppet show at daycare. We got to ride in the stroller - the big kids had to walk - and we saw a puppy, a cow, and many other of Old McDonald's animals!
All our best!
Kylie & Neela
