Our 1st Trip to the Dentist

We've been waiting FOREVER to make our first trip to the dentist!  We've read stories about Melvin the Magnificent Molar, and we love to use our toothbrush.

We watched Mommy get X-Rays of her teeth and get her teeth cleaned, and asked a MILLION questions about what they hygenist was doing to Mommy's teeth...  then it was our turn!

We both tried for X-rays, but it was not successful this time.  We did let them look at all our teeth and clean all of our teeth - and it went great!  Brooke even let them look in her mouth :-)

Thank you so much to the staff at WoodGrove Dental - especially Dr. Cunningham - for your patience with us!

The Big Backyardigans Party!

The theme we picked for our 4th Birthday party was "Backyardigans".  If you aren't familiar with them, the Backyardigans are on the same channel as Dora, Diego, the Wonder Pets... Nick Jr.!

Neela has always been a Uniqua fan.  Kylie really likes Tasha, but decided she liked Pablo once we made their invitations - and Mom could only find Pablo and Uniqua masks.  Unfortunately, she decided this AFTER Grandma Banana made a Tasha cake.  Good thing Grandma likes to make cake - she made another cake just for Kylie!

We know that we need streamers, party hats and balloons for every party - and Mommy found us great big balloons of Pablo and Uniqua.  We LOVED them when she brought them home!

Before the party started, we opened our gifts from Heidi and Cory - princess flip flops and sunglasses.
Don't we look super cool?

We also took pictures with our cakes before our guests arrived - just in case someone licked the frosting....

...we probably should have watched Brooke a little closer!

All of our guests got masks, party hats, and tattoos.  We had pizza, carrots and dip, chips and dip, and strawberries and dip for the meal -- then took a break before we had cake.

When it was cake time, we had to deal with a minor mishap.  Neela was SOOOOOOO excited, she slipped and smashed her face on the floor.  She got a very fat, bloody lip - so it took a few minutes to get her back in "cake condition".  (Neela didn't want another year where she cried by her birthday cake....  she still remembers that from her 3rd birthday!)

Neela said her favorite part was blowing out the candle - Kylie said her favorite part was eating the cake...

Brooke enjoyed the cupcakes (somehow, she finagled two that day!).

Happy 4th Birthday, Kylie & Neela!

WOW!  Time flies!

It seems like only yesterday, we were at the hospital for ultrasounds and an emergency delivery of two tiny little people... and now, they are 4 and amazing little girls!

Neela asked Mommy if her legs were longer, and when Mommy said yes, Neela decided she could be 4!  Now, none of their clothes fit because they are "bigger!"  (Amazing what one day will do!)

Mommy, Chuckie & Daddy had to hang up the party decorations early because the girls expected birthday decorations - and they could take down the "1" on the countdown chart... they were finally 4!

For their "family birthday", we had our ballet recital at Central Park.

Kylie spent a lot of time waving during the recital, but they both did a great job!  They were so proud and happy - and we were so proud of them!  Uncle Chuckie & Aunt Angie enjoyed it, too!

After ballet, we headed to the "Cheeseburger & Popcorn" place.
We ate all of our supper, so we got ICE CREAM!

We love you, Kylie & Neela!

California Visitors

On February 10, after ballet, Mommy, Kylie & Neela headed to the airport to pick up Aunt Renee & Uncle David.  We were excited to finally get INSIDE the airport - and waited impatiently at the bottom of the escalator in baggage claim for them!  We sat on the floor, laid on the floor, jumped, danced... and RAN to them when we saw them!

On Friday, we spent the day playing at home and helping Daddy run errands.  David & Renee brought us "Beauty & the Beast", so we had MOVIE NIGHT!  We got to have popcorn with M&Ms (Thanks, Jack!).

On Saturday, we went shopping!  We went to Charming Charlie and bought some jewelry.  We went to Blissful Bath, and bought Renee a Valentine's present.  We went to The Children's Place...  then we came home to another surprise - Uncle Chuckie, Grandma Candy & Papa Lollipapa!  We played all afternoon - then Mommy, Daddy, Renee, David & Chuckie went to the hockey game... and we got to go to the Apple Place!  Papa turned in a different driveway, Neela started to chant "wrong way", and all of a sudden, Brooke screamed "WRONG WAY!".  Papa might not turn there again!

On Sunday, Renee finally got to play in the snow!  She'd been waiting for a long time to play in all the snow.  We went outside, climbed in our sleds and slid down the hill a LOT.  Grandma, Renee and Mommy got tired pulling the sleds through 2-3 feet of snow, so we moved to the bottom of the hill and played on our playset.

When we got bored there, we had a snowball fight!!!

Just the girls... An AWESOME Picture!
Mommy had promised to let us make Valentine's cupcakes - so we made those after we came back in the house!  Grandma and Mommy did most of the work... we helped Renee eat the frosting!

Making Valentine's Cupcakes - or eating the frosting??
Sunday night, Grandma and Papa drove home - but Chuckie stayed with us to visit!

For Valentine's Day, we headed to the Mall of America!  First, we had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.  Brooke slept through most of the meal - then woke up to dance with the monkeys!

At the Rainforest Cafe
After lunch, the big girls got a date at Scoops spa with Mommy & Renee.  Brooke chased the "boys" through Legoland and around the mall -- happily showing off her ability to say "Chuckie!".
Waiting for our Spa Date
Check out our FIZZY Feet!
We had soooo much fun!

Manicure anyone??

1, 2, 3... JUMP!
When our nails FINALLY dried (Kylie did NOT like that part), we headed to Build-A-Bear workshop.  We each got to pick out our own animals... Neela got a purple bear, Kylie got a pink puppy, and Brooke got a super soft cuddly puppy!  (Does any of this surprise you?)

Getting our bears' hearts ready at Build-A-Bear

Brooke REALLY liked the heart!

Cleaning up our bears
At the end, we named our pets.
Neela's bear is "Neela".  Kylie's puppy is "Kylie".  Brooke's puppy is "Shaggy".

Brooke started to wear out, so she headed home with Daddy & Chuckie while the big girls headed to Nickolodean Universe.  We saw all of our favorite characters and games up close and personal!  The Backyardigans, the Wonder Pets, Dora, Diego, Spongebob, Blues' Clues...

On the Fly Boat
On their last day, we played in the basement with our dance game!  On the way to the airport, we stopped for ice cream... Brooke LOVES ice cream as much as her sisters!

Oh, so CUTE!
We can't wait for David & Renee to come back!  We had so much fun with them, and love them so much!

Are you ready for the Super Bowl?

The girls have perfected dancing to the Steelers' Super Bowl song

and they are definitely "Steeler Ladies"...

They also wanted to make sure we had lots of decorations for the Super Bowl.  Check it out...
