Mom has been a bit behind lately, so it's time to try to tell you what's been going on! The last time she wrote, Neela was sick - and Kylie just got sick. She's going to use some of our favorite sayings to help bring you back up-to-speed! When Kylie got sick, she told Mom & Dad "I throw up" (apparently, she figured out what Neela had been doing for the last few days!).
On May 8, Mom & Dad bought a new house! We move in on Monday, June 29 - we are not really adjusting too well to the idea - but we do LOVE the idea of our new purple bedroom. (Mom & Dad love the "more space", and Dad is in love with his new 73" built in TV and granite bar in his "Man Cave"... stop by!!).
For Mother's Day, we got to see Grandma G. We took her Subway sandwiches while she "made a big mess" at Aunt Angie's house.
Over Memorial Day, we went to Grandma & Papa G.'s farm. We got to see how much the chickens had grown, and Kylie got to play with Slick (Slick lick my belly - and he did!!!). Neela drove Papa's tractor, with a little help from Papa, we flew kites, and we got to play in the new sandbox Papa built for us! (There are lots of pictures on our Shutterfly site...) We also went to Little Brad's graduation party - and got to tell him "Go Orange Guy" (we learned that at the state wrestling tourney, but he never heard it!)
The next weekend, we headed to Sioux City so Mom & Dad could golf with Grandma & Papa E. We got to spend the entire day with Uncle Chuckie - and we wore our "Chuckie's Cubbies" T-shirts just for him. We helped Grandma plant new flowers, and traced pictures of Mommy & Grandma on the sidewalk. We also got to see our "Big" Papa, and "Big" Grandmas...
On June 4, we graduated from Little Gym! We learned so much this year - how to hang on the bars, and much more! Mom will be publishing our June photo album soon - there is so much we squeezed in, including all of our PACKING!!
June 19 was Mom & Dad's 10 year wedding anniversary. They went out for dinner, and we got to spend the evening with Aunt Angie. We even had our favorite pizza - sausage and black olive! Oh, and Daddy stopped at Tara's flower shop on the way home from daycare to help us pick out two hot pink Gerbera daisies - just like the one's in Mommy's bouquet! She thought they were so pretty - even though we broke one of the stems in the car :-)
Then, we headed to the lake with the Guggisberg clan! We went fishing (with Papa), boating (with Papa), swimming (with Papa)... can you guess what we can't stop talking about? We also enjoyed spending time with cousin Mallory - she's the same age as us - so it was 3 little girls getting into all kinds of trouble as we learned more independence! We tried casting our fishing rods, and reeling in the plastic fish, many times! We got to drive the boat - most of the time in circles - and this made Mommy sick!! We also enjoyed sitting on the beach building sand castles, and wading into the water with the help of anyone around (cousins Lauren & Drew, Papa, Grandma, Mommy, Daddy, "Grandma" Karen, cousin Kelly...).
And... to end our post... a few new quotes we've had in the last few weeks!
Door broken: We figured out how to open the Murano doors driving down the road. When Mommy enabled the child safety locks, we were not happy!
Eat your snake: We really love spaghetti, and Kylie had leftovers. Kylie was feeding Neela, saying "Eat your snake" (there's a movie to go with this quote!).
Ride in Papa's Truck: When Papa watched us so Mommy & Daddy could go to a wedding, we rode in Papa's truck. Now, it's our favorite thing to do! Neela rides in the middle, so she's getting good at shifting - but we both like to tell Mommy - Go (green light), Go Faster (yellow light), Stop (red light), and "Mommy, Stop Sign!". Today, Neela told Mommy "Go Mommy, Go Mommy, Go Mommy" the minute the light turned green!
I like that ...song... puppy... car...: We can tell you the things we like - and don't like - a lot more now!
Tracy's sings that...: We love to sing songs, and if Mommy or Daddy sings a song we learned at daycare, we have to tell them "Tracy sings that" (and sometimes, we won't let them keep singing!)
Happy Mother's Day I color card! Neela brought Grandma her Mother's Day card - and opened it - so she could show Grandma all of her artwork! (She did the same thing for Papa and Daddy on Father's Day!).
Happy Birthday, Grandma, Chuckie, etc! We love to call people and wish them Happy Birthday now!
Give baby hugs, give baby kiss... shh... Baby sleeping! We have figured out there is a baby in Mommy's tummy - and now we like to talk to the baby, and about the baby, as much as we can. Kylie even asked the Mom of a new baby at daycare if the baby came from her tummy...
Papa needs to shave: We notice when Papa doesn't shave - and we let him know!!
Where's the purple fish? Over Memorial Day, we went fishing with Grandma and Papa. When casting, Grandma through the fish was tied securely to the line on Neela's pole - and made a beautiful cast... However, the fish flew beautifully - but the line didn't go with. Now, "Where's the purple fish?" and we answer "Grandma throw it in the lake!".
Princess Shoes: Great-grandma Wendland bought us Princess shoes on her way to "Little Brad's" graduation party... they are crocs with Disney princesses on them - and we love them!
Steve's Park: Our neighbor (until Monday), Steve, has a huge playset in his backyard. We can see it from our deck - and we always ask Daddy if we can go to Steve's Park -- Mommy can't really lift both of us too well anymore :-)
And... today, Daddy took our cribs apart, so we are sleeping on mattresses only tonight! Mommy is REALLY hoping we will sleep all night :-)
All our love!
Kylie & Neela
