Camp Middleton Open House

The new school year is fast approaching!  Kylie and Neela will be in 1st Grade -- in different classrooms again!  We had a "mini" crisis when we found out who our teachers were, and that our best friends were in our SISTER'S classrooms!!  After a walk through the neighborhood, both Kylie and Neela found they would have friends in their classes... and it was time to go school supply shopping!

The supplies are packed... the new backpacks purchased... and today, we get to find our lockers and meet our teachers!  We are VERY excited!!  The theme this year is all about camps and camping... Mommy and Daddy aren't too sure Camp Middleton is ready for the Estochen Twins -- but here we come!!

Brooke REALLY wants to go with her big sisters, but has two more years to wait!!  Instead, she went to visit her friends at New Horizons today... and dance with Bob the Beachcomber!  She practiced surfing, fishing, and a LOT of dancing :-)

Cups!

This summer, Danielle worked to teach us new things.  She tried to teach us the "Cups" song - and actions.  Daddy turned on his iPad, and Brooke tried very hard to show us what she learned!

Woodbury Country Mile

After a short night, Mommy got up to do 5K #5 this year at the Woodbury Days Country Mile.

When she finished, it was our turn!  We really want to try racing with Mommy, but a 5K is a bit far!

We signed up for the kids' 1 mile and 1/2 mile, but they were shortened because of the heat... we did a 1/2 mile and a 1/4 mile instead.

Brooke
A few tears at the finish, as the races were longer than we anticipated, but we all finished our events!  We have to practice a bit for the next event - but we will finish those, too!!  We even got medals at the end!  Aren't we cute??

Woodbury Days 2013

We are big fans of festivals and rides.  We especially love Woodbury Days - it's small, and close to home.  This year, we bought unlimited ride bands... and we got our money's worth!  On Saturday afternoon, we headed to Ojibway Park to see everything Woodbury Days had to offer...

Neela & Brooke on the Giant Slide... Brooke lost her rug :-)
We took a few minutes to have our hair painted some crazy colors, make jewelry and dance with the RadioDisney crew!

Check out Neela's chin -- 3 stitches yesterday!!

After dancing, we headed back for MORE rides!  Brooke liked the car with her name on it... but did not like the spinning rides.  Kylie went on the astronaut ride about 20 times (a spinning in the dark ride), while Neela and Brooke tried the kiddie coaster over and over AND OVER!!

Overall, a pretty fun way to spend the afternoon... we went home to get some picnic supplies, then headed to Bonnie and Hambone's for a potluck fish fry.

After supper, we headed back to Ojibway for a family favorite... FIREWORKS!!

A long day... then off to bed :-)

Visiting the Mill City Museum

Uncle Tony made a surprise trip from Fargo to visit us!  First, we went to "Pirate BBQ" (Famous Dave's) for supper.  Then, he watched us ride our bikes, roller skate, practice soccer, draw sidewalk chalk pictures, and any other crazy things we could come up with outside!

He went to visit Aunt Angie, but we hunted him down the next day!  He had never been to the Mill City Museum - and we love to visit that place, so... away we went!

Brooke took charge - herding Angie and Tony in to play with the water, rearrange logs on the river, and check out water pressure under waterfalls.  Kylie, Neela and Mommy worked on putting together the life-size puzzle pieces in the main exhibit.

When it was almost time for the Flour Tower tour, we went to wait in line... and pose for a few pictures :-)

When we got to the end of the tour, we were able to pose for some pretty cool pictures at the top of the building... overlooking St. Anthony Falls!

The next time you're in town, we'd love to show off the exhibits - and the Falls!! It is SO fun!

The Solar System Song

Brooke went to Woodbury Park and Rec "Outer Space" camp in August... check out her song!

Bailey & Aaron's Wedding - Fun with Cousins (AGAIN!)

We drove to Glencoe for Bailey and Aaron's wedding - and enjoyed another fun day playing with our cousins AND our extended cousins :-)

Somehow, we all managed to dress alike - so we took some pretty cute pictures before the ceremony...

Kylie and Neela need a family picture for school - so we took a new snapshot!  However, we still cannot manage to ALL look at the camera at the same time AND SMILE!

Then... we tried to take a picture with Mom and Dad...

After the wedding, we went to Dairy Queen for a snack - then to the reception.  There was a playground right next door we spent a lot of time on :-)  Then, Grandma wanted to try for a picture (Talon was playing baseball!)... we did not do any better for her!!

Then, back to the playground until the dance started...

We danced for two hours, helped Grandma pass out 120 glow bracelets, and played some more... before heading home!  It was a fun day :-)  Congratulations, Bailey & Aaron!

Lake Memories 2013: Day 6

Today at the lake... Mom and Dad went golfing in the morning, so we played with Grandma, Papa, Aunt Angie and Aunt Heidi.  We went on a bike ride... then hung out outside.

When Mommy and Daddy got back, it was time to play in the sand...

...then, Brooke convinced Mommy and Daddy to get her back on the tube...

Mommy skied again, and Daddy tried.

After supper, we practiced our ability to skip rocks -- Talon tried to teach us :-)

Then, back out to the trampoline with Papa... he can bounce REALLY high!

Kylie seemed to enjoy making crazy faces at her crazy hair... so why not take a few pictures?

Now... what will we do tomorrow???
