California Adventure - Day 6

Day 6 started with a yummy breakfast that Renee and Grandma made for us... and they even let us cook our OWN eggs :-)  We had to show off one of Papa Pizza's favorite tricks - raspberries on every finger - before we learned we had ANOTHER surprise that day!

Mom & Dad told us we were going for a walk... little did we know that walk was going to end in a surprise!  Our surprise today was a trip to Legoland -- and everything Lego!

We entered through a "private" entry for resort guests only.  Our first stop was at a pirate-themed rope climb while we waited for the park to open.  Then, we went the opposite direction of most guests (we entered at the back of the park and went right, most people enter at the front of the park and go right).  We found a bunch of pirates - made from Legos - and climbed on our first ride.  We were all tall enough to drive the boats, and Mommy, Daddy and Grandma were 'lucky' enough to ride in the boats with us.

After the Pirate village, we headed to another area.  We walked through a Lego assembly line and learned how Legos were made.  Kylie and Neela were tall enough to drive their own cars - and they even earned a driver's license after driving them!

There was a firefighter training facility - we had to "pump" our way from one end of the track to the other.  Then, we had to spray water in a window to knock down the fire.  Then, it was back to the other end of the track... Mommy, Grandma and Kylie won -- but that could be because we had two grown-ups doing all the pumping... and Daddy had Brooke and Neela trying to help him pump the car down the line!

We found the rescue helicopters - and tried them out.  Brooke rode a couple times - and she always looked for the fire helicopter (do you think all of us know what Daddy does???).

We are riding on 3 of the helicopters in this picture -- can you find us?

Our next adventure was a pedal ship that looked like a roller coaster until you climbed on... you actually had to "pedal" to get the ship to move.  Mommy was lucky enough to have Brooke for a "helper" with the pedals!

The "Sky Pull" was one of our favorites... we convinced Grandma and Papa to go TWICE!!  We had to pull ourselves to the top of the pull, then drop back down...  Papa even convinced Neela to put her hands in the air while they were falling down!

We spent a little time in "Duplo Land" - climbing in houses, down slides, at the police station, the doctor's office, growing Lego corn, and riding on the kiddie train.  Then, we found another roller coaster near the dinosaurs.  We all (Kylie, Neela & Brooke) LOVED this roller coaster!  It as not too big - we probably rode it 15 or 20 times.  The line was really short, and each "ride" went around the tracks twice before we finished!  A few times, there was no one else in line - and they asked us to raise our hands if we wanted to go again.  We all raised our hands, even Kylie!

We kept walking around Lego Land, and ran into "Bob the Builder".  He looked so real, Brooke decided he needed lots and lots of hugs and kisses.

We did find a few "big kid" rides that Brooke couldn't go on (a minimum height of 40 inches)... one of these was the "super big" roller coaster.  Kylie did NOT like this one - and Mommy was not too sure about it either.  Neela and Grandma were ready to go again... but we decided to see what else there was left in the park.

We found "Egypt" (or something like it)... we went down the giant slide, found a ball launching house, flew on some airplanes, and convinced Daddy and Grandma to "bounce" down the pyramid with us.  Do you think Daddy liked this ride?

Our favorite ride at Lego Land was the Knights' Horses by the castle... we rode them again, and again, and AGAIN while Brooke slept in the stroller.  The ride operator actually made us get off and find our parents before we could ride again... and Mommy and Daddy said one more time was OK :-)

On our way out, we found the castle "lock up".  The girls really did not understand what this was all about - but enjoyed posing when Mommy & Daddy showed them how.

For dinner, we headed to a brewery... we had plain noodles, sweet potato fries, and anything else we could score or share off the grown-up's plates!  Kylie's favorite part HAD to be the brownie she helped Grandma inhale.

Tonight was another movie night - and we tried new beds.  Neela slept with Daddy, Kylie slept in the "big queen", Brooke slept on one hide-a-bed (for half the night), and Mommy slept on the other hide-a-bed..  What other fun could possibly happen??
