The 3rd of July

July has started out a bit warm... it feels as if we should be living in a rainforest some where!  The humidity has been extremely high, and so have the temperatures.  Grandma Candy and Papa Lollipapa made their annual trek to our house to celebrate Independence Day, and it was a HOT one!

We waited until almost 8:30 to go outside to try Snaps and some fireworks, and we were still sweaty!

Mommy did manage to convince us to wear some red, white, and blue -- and our headbands made us look like little firecrackers!

We walked over to Brandon and Blake's house to watch the fireworks their Daddy bought...

We tried some pretty neat things with sparklers in the grass...

...Blake and Brooke kept up the "snaps"...
They make a GREAT team together - they shared, and had a blast testing out different ways to get the "bang" to happen!

...and as it got darker... the big kids had a few more chances to try out sparklers!  This was the first year Kylie and Neela really understood sparklers, and they enjoyed it soooo much!

When it was VERY dark, and we were all VERY sweaty, we sat down to watch some BIG fireworks!  Brandon's Daddy bought some very big, very fun, fireworks -- and we loved every second of the show.

Then, it was time to head home to rest... tomorrow will be another day of hot fun and celebrations!
