New Horizons celebrated Brooke's birthday today, because she doesn't have school tomorrow (Saturday). Brooke was going to wear her Hello Kitty shirt, but the school decided to have "Vikings/Packer" shirt day. Brooke couldn't wear either of those - and she wanted to make sure Big Papa was happy - so the "Steeler Lady" put on her shirt, and compromised with Hello Kitty barrettes :-)
Brooke walked in the door to her best friend, Blake. Brooke and Blake have been best friends for a LONG time - and now Blake is attending Brooke's school. They get to play and learn together all day, and couldn't seem to love it more!
Here is the sign by the door... "Today we had fun celebrating our friend Brooke's birthday. We played birthday bingo and had a birthday story!"
That night, Aunt Angie gave Brooke a very cool present - a SLEEPOVER at Aunt Angie's!!
After Angie picked up the birthday girl (for pizza and ice cream), Mommy took Kylie and Neela out for supper to celebrate the first week of first grade! What did we eat? Mac and cheese from Angelina's :-)
