On Saturday, we put together our bubble lawnmowers - and helped Daddy mow the lawn. Brooke loved watching the bubbles as we drove past.
In the afternoon, we went swimming at Dominique & Danielle's pool (even though they weren't home!), then had supper at Reardon's house. After supper, we played teeball, "sleeping turtles", and soccer with Reardon (the pictures are on Grandma's camera). Brooke, Rylan and Julia played with all the toys in the house - Brooke walking around them, and the twins getting into their big brother's toys while he was outside.
Sunday, we headed to Afton for their Annual 4th of July parade. It was so much fun! Reardon and his friend, Sebastian, taught the girls all about how to get candy from the floats and people walking by. At first, they were a bit intimidated - but then we got it figured out!! We put all of our candy in Daddy's big hat - and we only asked to try a few pieces. There were 2 Santa's in the parade -- they came just to see if we were being good all year!
We were supposed to head to Oldham's for dinner, but we were so tired we didn't wake up until 5:30 from our naps -- and Daddy was on call at 7. We stayed home - and what a spectacular fireworks show in our cul-de-sac! It seemed as if there were fireworks "wars" going on as to which was the largest -- we just laid on our driveway and watched fireworks as big as the city display right at home!! It was GREAT!!
On Monday, Grandma and Papa headed home... and we took it easy! Daddy took Kylie to the doctor - and another case of pink-eye with either strep or an ear infection showed up. It poured rain so much while Mommy was out shopping she had to change clothes when she got home. We went to bed early - everyone was so tired from all the fun this weekend!
