Halloween Happenings - A Guggisberg Baby Shower & Carving Pumpkins

We had a very busy Saturday!  We got up Saturday morning, climbed in the car, and ate breakfast in the car.  We were driving to Papa Pizza's hometown, Gibbon, for a "Baby Guggisberg" baby shower!

Mommy let us watch movies in the car... and we could not WAIT to get there!  Once we arrived, we found Grandma and Papa, and a lot of the Guggisberg cousins.  We played shower games, but Brooke did NOT want to be sitting any more.  Papa came back from Uncle Jeff's, and took Brooke to the bar (there are not a lot of other options in small towns!).  They had pizza and french fries... then the "cousins" all got bored, so they headed to the bar, too...  Pretty soon, Papa, Uncle Jeff and Jeremy had all the kids!

The kids thought learning pool sounded like fun, so they headed to the pool table.  Everyone played and snacked for a while longer, before we climbed in the car to head back home.  Brooke cried because she missed Papa, but Papa did call to check on her...

Kylie and Neela picked pumpkins on their field trip, but Brooke still did not have one.  We found a roadside stand, and Mommy found a pumpkin for Brooke.  When we got home, we decided to carve pumpkins (or Daddy would not be able to help... he is leaving for Mississippi in the morning!).

We all drew pictures of what we wanted our pumpkins to look like... then sat down with Daddy to remove the lids.

After the lids were off, we worked on cleaning out the guts.  Kylie loved getting her hands dirty, but Neela and Brooke wanted help cleaning their pumpkins.  Neela got photographer duties, and somehow Mommy got to clean Neela AND Brooke's pumpkins!  Daddy helped Kylie clean a bit, but the pumpkins were a little small for Daddy's hands.

Then, it was time for Daddy to do more work... carving crazy faces in our pumpkins!

Kylie ended up with a pumpkin with it's tongue sticking out, Neela's pumpkin had a 'little' tiara, and Brooke's pumpkin had an Ariel tiara!
