For Memorial Day, we hit the road for Sioux City! We had not visited Big Papa and Big Grandma for a while, so a long weekend should give us a few chances to see them and visit with them!
We got their late on Friday, and woke up early Saturday. Mommy took us with her to Caribou - and we got a special treat! Kiddie Cocoa!! We carried them into Panera to buy bagels, and proudly brought them in to Grandma and Papa's house.
When we got home, it was time for our babysitter "event". Mom, Dad, Grandma and Papa went to the golf course -- and we had LOTS of babysitters! Uncle Chuckie, Big Papa, Big Grandma, and Uncle John. We played on our scooters, in the driveway... and with every toy we could find!
On Sunday, we had a private tour of the candy store - and found gifts for our teachers. We knew they liked some kinds of candy, but it was a process to get the "right" choices made!
Then, we stopped at McDonald's for a little playtime since it was rainy outside. Afterwards, we had visitors. Big Papa and Big Grandma came over - and we kept them busy playing cards...
... checkers... Kylie was not victorious over Big Papa...
.... so she called in Neela for help!
After she helped Kylie, Neela went back to playing cards with Grandma...
...and Big Grandma...
... before Brooke decided Big Grandma needed an iPod demonstration!
After teaching Big Grandma, Brooke sat down with Big Papa to eat some candy :-)
We were tired of being inside, so we took our iPods outside to dance to the A-B-C app songs. We tried all kinds of crazy poses on the deck!
The night, we wanted movie night -- we camped out on Grandma and Papa's bed, and watched 101 Dalmations for the first time! It was AWESOME! Of course, Brooke missed most of it -- we'll have to watch it again another time :-)
While Mommy packed the car, we decided to play outside with everything Grandma had. We used her chalk, and we played with bubbles. We dumped out all of Grandma's bubbles, so we'll need to get more before we visit next time.
Then, we hit the road home... we were not too sad, because we will see them again in 4 sleeps!
