Middleton Elementary Kindergarten Graduation 2013

Wow!  Time flies!  Was it really 9 months ago when we were scared to climb on the school bus?  Mommy kind of wonders if it was really 6 YEARS ago that we were coming home from the hospital in a snowstorm, after spending 15 days in the ICU??  She told us she would probably cry, but it is because she is very happy and proud of us... and maybe a little because she does not want us to grow up so quickly!

Last night, we asked to dress like twins in our pretty dresses for our "big" graduation day at Middleton.  Since we are in separate classes, we wanted people to know we are twins!

At the bus stop, we found Addie -- our neighbor and one of our best friends!  She is in another Kindergarten class, but we see each other EVERY day!

We had a large group watching us graduate - our teachers said we were going to have the paparazzi there!  Grandma Candy, Papa Lollipapa and Uncle Chuckie (from Sioux City), Grandma Banana and Papa Pizza (from Fargo), Aunt Renee and Uncle David (from CALIFORNIA!!), and Mommy and Daddy all were in the audience -- right up front so they could see everything!

For our graduation program, we sang a lot of songs... We sang "ABC's" of what we learned in Kindergarten, and ended with a song... "Start spreading the news, we know how to read... We want to be a part of it, First Grade, First Grade!  We learned ABCs, and all of the rest... we learned to share and get along, and we are the best!.."  At the very end, we said "Watch out, First Grade Teachers, Hear We Come!"

After the program, it was time for us to walk across the stage... we both did GREAT!  We smiled, shook our teachers' hands, and did not trip :-)

After it was all done, we went to our classrooms to get most of our supplies (we left a few for tomorrow!) - and to let our families say goodbye to our teachers.  This was the first time Grandma Banana, Uncle Chuckie, Aunt Renee and Uncle David saw our school... so we had to show them our lockers, too!  As we said goodbye for the day, we took a few more pictures...

...Neela even found Mrs. Nielsen, the principal, to take a picture with!

Then, it was on to a lunch of our choice!  Originally, we were going to picnic at school, but it was so cold and rainy looking, we voted for Noodles.  Brooke met us at Noodles (she didn't come to school), and started right in on hugs and running away from everyone!

After mac and cheese at Noodles, what better way to celebrate than ice cream from Coldstone... conveniently, right next door!

We still have one day left, and a dance recital tonight, so we headed home to get some rest before the LAST day of Kindergarten!!
