For Spring Break this year, we decided to head south... on a 1000 mile car ride to Dallas! We left on Friday, March 7 - and drove 11 hours, before stopping in Tulsa for a night of swimming, stretching and sleeping. Then, we departed for the last 250 miles... most of our driving was foggy, rainy, and movies only provided so much entertainment.
Each of the girls had a chance to ride in the front seat for a few hours - and they had a million questions about the things they could see, how fast we were driving, and anything else they could come up with! We saw a few 3M plants... a house burned to the ground... countless McDonald's...
When we finally arrived at the Gerst's, we watched the Iowa State overtime basketball victory -- then it didn't take long for us to change into our suits and climb into the pool!!
We are going to love this week - even if we spend the entire week in the pool at our friends' house!!
