What an experience! Papa had to use some vacation, so Mommy took the 3 girls to the farm for 3 days. We didn't miss much - and Papa definitely had "so much to teach us" on this trip!
We arrived in time for supper on Thursday - and immediately had to climb in the "hot pool" instead of the bath tub. Brooke even loved splashing in it!
(Can you imagine what she will do in the "big" pool???)
On Friday, Mommy took Brooke shopping - and the big girls got to spend lots of time with Papa. We went out to the pasture in Papa's truck to fly kites - we had to drive "through the poop" to get there. Both girls got a chance to ride on Papa's lap and steer the truck - when they were in the pasture :-) Papa swears he's going to teach them to drive, soon...
Then, Rudy helped us find coyote holes - and Neela kept losing her kite in the wind. Kylie concentrated very hard - and managed to hang on even though it was super windy! When we were playing in our house and sandbox, Neela told Papa "something smells like butt" (not sure where she learned that one), and Papa found a dead gopher. He didn't show Neela the gopher - but Neela was glad he "fixed" the smell.
Papa also built two new tire swings in the trees - we LOVED them! They were much more of a challenge than a little swing on a swingset -- and Neela wanted to be pushed for hours.
Friday afternoon, we went to Crosswinds Dairy - and got to milk cows!! We were very scared at first, but after Mommy and Papa helped us - we couldn't get enough!
Kylie is looking for Slick's Mom!
Of course, we were so good at the dairy and with the calves that Papa took us out for ice cream afterwards. We both had strawberry - and Papa and Brooke shared a sweet roll!
Friday night, we went to town for supper. We celebrated Grandma's birthday all weekend - and it started with supper!
Saturday, we went into to town to celebrate Grandma Arlene's birthday. We brought her cupcakes - and we all loved the frosting! Mommy even let Brooke get a little taste!
Saturday afternoon, Papa took us fishing. We did not catch any real fish, but we did manage to catch our purple and red fish MANY times. We started to get bored, so Mommy took us to the park to play. Grandma brought Brooke, too. We also learned Kylie and bug bites do not mix -- every bug that landed on her left a big red mark - that turned into a little scratch! Neela got bug bites, but all she needed was some "bug medicine" and it didn't hurt!
When we got home from the lake, we tried out the "trailer" bike where we get to ride behind an adult. We both thought it was way better than riding in the Burley!
Here are some more pictures of all the fun:
Is that Kylie or Goofy?

What else did Papa teach Brooke? Can you guess....
Papa also managed to teach Kylie and Neela one of his favorite songs... "In heaven there is no beer...", and one of his favorite sayings when you get hurt "It'll get better by the time you get married". Mommy hit her head on the slide, and Kylie said "It'll get better by the time you get married, Mommy -- Papa says so!"
We managed to get ice cream every day - but mostly because we were celebrating Grandma Banana's birthday -- and she wanted ice cream cake! She told us our visit was the best present she could have, and Neela says, "But we don't have any wrapping paper!"
