Grandma Banana had a wedding shower to go to - so Grandma and Papa decided to spend some time at our house.
Daddy put Papa to work helping with his "mess" in the backyard -- they filled all the holes with concrete, and carried all the boards down for the deck frame. Then, Papa went to Aunt Angie's to help with "more projects". (He used to say visits without projects weren't any fun... not sure he agrees any more!)
We didn't see much of Grandma until supper time - but we did "decorate" for her birthday during the day. We hung up balloons and streamers to celebrate Grandma turning 60! (She didn't really want a party, but we thought we could break the rules... we're her "girls" after all!)
On Sunday, we went out for breakfast... and not to McDonald's! Then, Daddy and Papa worked on a few more things while we played out front. Grandma helped Brooke draw with chalk, and then Brooke borrowed the neighbor's four-wheeler. The big girls were all playing together in 2 of the jeeps -- and there wasn't enough room for Brooke. She made her own fun -- and was definitely in heaven!
