A few general things have been happening around the Estochen household, and we thought you might like to know about them.
In the last month, Brooke has been asking to use the potty - usually right before and during bath time. This little 20-month-old is a killer -- she uses it, EVERY time! We don't want to hurry potty training - but she's DEFINITELY doing this on her time schedule!
One morning, Mommy needed something to distract us - so she pulled out the cookie mess. Mess is EXACTLY what it was - but we had soooo much fun! And yes, it's May, and yes, we are still wearing flannel PJs to bed. Will it every warm up???
Daddy took Kylie and Neela for an adventure one day, so Mommy had to cook and entertain Brooke. Brooke loves to pretend, play house and play with babies - so we made a fort out of her high chair to hide under -- with her babies. She really didn't want anyone watching her, though!
Brooke is in LOVE with dress-up and hats right now -- it's a good thing Kylie and Neela also love to dress up. Of course, when the "hat" was full of "applesauce" before we started... oh boy! Then, she looks at Mommy with a giant smile and says "Messy, Tony!" Hmm... what did Uncle Tony teach Brooke at Easter?
One of the biggest victories in the last month is Kylie's quest to stop sucking her thumb. Mommy & Daddy noticed, but did not know for sure. They waited a few days, then asked Kylie. She looked up, smiled, and said "Yep, I just quit." Wow... if we knew it was that easy!!!?!?
To celebrate, we told Kylie she could paint her fingernails - and her sisters joined in.
The last big news... we FINALLY got our bunk beds! (Mommy had a garage sale, and that paid for part of the beds.) We are so thrilled - it's difficult to get us out of our beds! Of course, we both want to sleep on the top - so we take turns. Each night, Mommy & Daddy change our pillows. It's a good thing Great Aunt Margaret bought pillows with our names on for our birthday -- or we might not remember who's turn it was to sleep on top.
| Daddy's rule is Brooke can't climb the ladder - can you tell she's doing something she's not supposed to be? |
| Have you seen Tangled? We're letting down our hair! |
