Our First Elementary School Christmas Program

It's Christmas!  It's time for holiday concerts... and our first-ever Kindergarten Concert!

All the Kindergarten classrooms at Middleton worked for a month on songs... we sang and recited Christmas poes for a half hour!  One of our favorites was "Mama's Soup Surprise," but we also liked "I'm getting nothing for Christmas" and "Rudolph."  During Rudolph, we did not say the word "reindeer".  Every time the word "reindeer" came up in the song, we made reindeer antlers instead of saying "reindeer".

Here are several videos from the concert:

After the concert, our guests were invited to our classrooms to help build gingerbread houses.

Papa Pizza had the day off, so he drove down to watch the concert... and helped make gingerbread houses!

Papa started in Kylie's room with Mommy.... but moved between both rooms.

Papa and Daddy did help Kylie build a yard for Cy on the Gingerbread house!

Kylie's finished house:

Neela got busy very quickly with Daddy's help... and she put rope licorice on the roof.  Of course, she really wanted to sample it!  Papa maybe helped her sample a few bites, too!

Neela's finished house:

After we finished, we headed home to spend the afternoon with Daddy.  We helped Daddy get ready for his poker party while Mommy wrapped up a few things at work.

Papa went to work with Mommy, and picked up Brooke.  Brooke and Papa headed on a road trip to Fargo... with a stop for chicken nuggets.  Brooke arrived with no shoes, no socks, no hat and no coat - but otherwise, ready to party!

Brooke found her stocking immediately, and began singing and dancing to the jingling antlers :-)
