Kylie and Neela are not the only ones growing up too fast! Brooke is getting ready to celebrate her 3rd birthday, and we started the festivities in "Pirate" fashion!
The day started with an early morning call to Aunt Renee and Uncle David... while on Face Time, they got to watch Brooke open her gift... a Jake, a Cubby, a Captain Hook (that Brooke did NOT like!), a sword, and two Jake t-shirts... these turned out to be a GREAT distraction while Mommy and Daddy decorated, and Grandma and Papa helped clean...
Mommy and Daddy had Grandma and Papa take us for lunch so they could do the last few decorations...
They turned out pretty cool... even the sparkly, golden treasure chest :-)

Grandma Banana was once again recruited to make the cake... Brooke could not have been happier...
... and her sisters could not have been happier to help her sample the frosting, right off the cake...
... so Grandma handed all of us a cupcake, and we headed out to "test" them before our guests...
Brooke requested hot dogs, so Daddy setup the "Neverland" Hot Dog Bar :-)
Brooke kept Papa Pizza busy ready "Brown Bear, Brown Bear..."
... and Kylie and Neela recruited some help setting up the volleyball net...

Mommy, Aunt Angie, Uncle Tony and Aunt Katy decided to have a little fun, too -- trying out the pirate hats and pirate poses for everyone :-)
Brooke was too excited to nap - and started to get a little warn out. She was trying to convince Uncle Tony she could nap with Cubby and Izzy, but Mommy convinced her it was time to have her cake before her nap.
So.... everyone headed downstairs to check out the cake -- and Brooke blew out her candle!!
Then, Brooke shared her birthday cake and celebrating with Hambone..
... and all the "loot" was moved out to the deck for the little pirate to open...
Many of her guests stuck to her pirate theme... she got a pirate dress-up set, a pirate towel, a Jake coloring book, Jake PJs, a stuffed Jake doll, a talking Jake doll, Jake bedding... and a few other fun things: a coloring kit, some clothes, a Nerf gun, bunny books, her Snowbunny... she just had loads of fun and helpers!
Brooke made it without a nap, and enjoyed every minute of her pirate party! She is still telling everyone she's 2... and on her birthday, she'll be 1 -- with a BIG smile :-) Then, she says, "I will be 3!"
