Mommy had a goal... she always wanted to take us to Teddy Bear Park, before we started kindergarten! She succeeded - by two days, and by taking vacation on that day!
We woke up in the morning, and Mommy said we had a surprise after breakfast... We knew all about Teddy Bear Park from Reardon and Jack, and when we found out we were headed there... well, the excitement was CONTAGIOUS!!
Teddy Bear Park is on a bluff in Stillwater. It overlooks the St. Croix and the lift bridge, and is full of teddy bears (you are not supposed to climb on them, but everybody did!), rock ledges, sand, and all kinds of other activities. We spent the entire morning climbing around - what a blast!
After a lot of climbing, we took a break for lunch. Peant butter and jelly bagels, goldfish (Kylie and Neela broke them ALL in half to share...!), fruit and carrots :-)
After a little more play time, we headed down to Main Street for ice cream... again, overlooking the St. Croix.
On the way home, we stopped at Target... we found new T-shirts for Halloween, bought Kylie and Neela new outfits for dance class, found a different kind of panties that did NOT get stuck all the time (as Auntie Angie says, "Picky, Picky"... these are WAY better!), and found some laundry scents that we pretended to drink :-) Then, it was home to run through the sprinkler and get setup for Daddy's Draft Party. Daddy started bowling that night, so we got to welcome all of his friends and show them around... before the party :-)
On Wednesday, Daddy took us to Kindergarten for our assessment day. Then, we ate hot dogs - and headed for a road trip. We went to the bank, the airport (to watch the airplanes), and home for a short rest before Mommy got there. For supper, we headed to The Lakes for a fun family dinner. We even had ice cream for dessert!
Then, it was home for baths, and an early bed time! Tomorrow is the day we've waited for all summer long!! Kindergarten, here come the Estochen Twins!!
