We dropped Daddy off at the airport, then headed out for a day of fun in the sun.
First, we had lunch at Dairy Queen - and you can't have lunch at Dairy Queen without an ice cream treat. We all chose the red, white and blue stars... they were messy - and turned our mouths blue!!
After lunch, we headed over to Minnehaha Park. Mom had a deal for renting a surrey for an hour... little did she know that it usually takes TWO adults an hour to pedal the surrey :-) We were too short for the pedals, we loved riding in the front basket... and Mommy only had to stop to push us once or twice! We finished in "near record" time - but Mommy swears next time, another grown-up is coming with... because we thought it was AWESOME!!
After the surrey ride, we walked around the Falls. They were pretty dried out from the lack of rain, but we still found places to pose and smile. Mommy did not let us climb on too many rocks near the water - again, that whole "need another grown-up" reason... but we loved the hike, the stairs, the water, the falls, LOOKING at the rocks...
What a great way to spend an early fall afternoon!
